Saving files from Amber iX to your Android device
Note: Due to the original design of the product as a solution for backing up files from mobile devices, there currently does not exist a way to seamlessly save photos from Amber iX to the Android local Gallery app.
General Android Users
For general Android devices, the easiest way to save files is to export them to either Google Drive or Google Photos.
Go to the Amber iX mobile app and tap on the three dots next to the target file you wish to save
Tap on "Share" and then "Export to Other App"
The file will start downloading to get ready to export. Swipe to the right to see the "More" option.
You will now see all the available apps that you can export to. For most cases, you can save to Google Photos or Google Drive and then save the photo to your local device from there.
Note: Selecting the "Print" option will save an image as a PDF instead of its original file type e.g. PNG, JPEG, etc.
Samsung Users
For Samsung users, there is another option that can be done as well if you do not have Google Photos/Drive. You will need to follow the same steps as above up to the point where you decide which application to export to. Instead of selecting Google Photos/Drive, you can instead select Samsung Notes.
You can choose either "Add to existing note" or "Add to new note". It does not matter which.
After the image shows up, you can then hold your finger on the image and some options will show. Press the three dots to the right.
Select "Save Image" and this will save the image to your local Gallery app.
