What is DDNS?

DDNS stands for Dynamic Domain Name System. It’s a service that maps internet domain names to IP addresses. It’s a DDNS service that lets you access your Amber X OS from anywhere in the world. 

You must first enable UPnP from your router at home by logging in to your router as admin.

To access DDNS settings:

1. Log in to Amber X OS as admin.

2. Open Control Panel. Click on the Advanced ribbon button (will show Basic if already pressed) near the top. 

3. Click on Network > Remote Access near the bottom and click on UPnP. Once your router's UPnP setting is enabled, create a port forwarding rule by clicking +create. The rule should be 443/tcp/https or 80/tcp/http or another router port of your choice.

4. Click on General slightly above Remote Access and check "Allow access with public IP" next to Allow Remote Web Access.

5. Click on DDNS then click on checkbox Enable DDNS Service shown inside red to fill in the information. Click Apply when finished. You should be able to access your Amber using your hostname from No-IP or other provide.
