How do I perform a hard reset for Amber X?

Performing a hard reset will give you the option to upgrade, reinstall, or install other versions of Amber OS.

1. You can hard reset the unit by disconnecting the power cord, holding down the power and reset button, and reinserting the power cord. Hold down both buttons for 15 - 30 seconds which will cause the LED should blink yellow.

2. Open a web browser and go to http://latticenode.local/#finder. Connect to your Amber X.

3. Select Advanced Options.

Under Advanced Options, you will have the option to Upgrade OS, Reinstall OS, or Install other Versions.

Choose Install other Versions to reset and overwrite the current data. Follow the setup wizard.

If completed correctly you should see this screen showing the OS downloading. 

Followed by the completed status bar. 

This screen will show the Amber X is being reset and the OS installing. 

After this is all complete you will this screen showing the first step in the setup process.
