Camera Roll Backup

When backing up the camera roll for the first time, it is recommended to leave the app open and have the charger connected.

• Auto Backup (recommended) - backup the camera roll and additions afterward.
• Manual Backup - manually select photos to backup.
• Custom Backup - specify backup source (Android only), only photos or videos, and specific dates.

3. Backup Settings

Backup Device - select an Amber device if there is more than one.

Destination Folder - specify the backup location (default is MyDevices/[Device Name]/Camera Roll). 

iCloud Photos (iOS only) - backup iCloud Photos.

Enabling Background Backup will allow Amber iX to continue backing up photos while the app is minimized. To enable:

Go to Settings > Backup & Upload > Background Service.

Run in the Background: Indefinite with enough power
Camera Roll Backup: Enable
Download & Upload: Enable

Note: Please be aware that there is a limit to how long an app can run in the background, whether iOS or Android. There is a strict limit by iOS to limit background activity by Apple with the exception of its Camera Roll/Photos app. iOS will close the app even if we enable it to run indefinitely and/or will be closed due to a large battery drain from excessive background activity.
