Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is a set of networking protocols that permits networked devices, such as personal computers, printers, Internet gateways, Wi-Fi access points, and mobile devices to seamlessly discover each other’s presence on the network and establish functional network services for data sharing, communications, and entertainment. UPnP is intended primarily for residential networks without enterprise-class devices.
You will need to enable the check box to Allow access with public IP on Amber X via Control Panel > Network > General.
You will also need to enable UPnP on your router's interface. Here we are using Amber Router: Log in to Amber Router > NAT Forwarding > UPnP, change from Enable Amber only to Enable all. Click Apply to save.
Click on Rescan to find your router.
Once found, add a new rule. Click on +Create to add the port and protocol, and then Create. Here, we chose HTTPS on port 9001.
Now you'll be able to access your Amber X log-in page using your external IP and port number. In this example, which is https://216.X.X.X:9001
