How do I create, delete, or edit a local common folder?
Shared Folders, or Local Common folders, are folders that are shared by invited users of Amber.
To create a local common folder:
1. Go to Control Panel > Local Common Folder. Click Create.
2. Enter Shared Folder's:
- Name.
- Description (optional).
- Cloud Share/Export - Allow users to export the folder so that it is accessible via Amber iX Apps.
- Transcode: Transcode video contents of folder automatically. Recommended for folders that contain videos.
- Assign Group Permissions - set permission level of groups to this folder.
- Manage Local Common Folder Quota - set the storage limit of this folder.
Click Create once you are done.
To delete a local common folder:
1. Select the shared folder and click Delete.
2. Click Delete once more to confirm. Note: Deleting a shared folder will delete all data in the folder.
To edit a local common folder:
1. Select the shared folder and click Edit.
